The shrimp boats in my hometown of Hilton Head are so beautiful. They show all the years of use, they have no need to shine because the work they do is their real pride. The green netting shine in the sun. This was based on a photo I took a long time ago and I have had it on my list to paint for a while. It is painted on an aluminum panel with adhered canvas. This means the painting substrate is very stiff and will keep the painting stable for a long time. It is unframed, but would be easily framed in a plein air frame.
