2025 Year in Review and a Dose of Inspiration

Well, it’s been another busy year for me in the studio, although this year I spent most of my time working on studies, and thinking about new directions for my work. This year was my first full year working at the North Carolina Arts Council. I have loved my work there, and the team I work with is the best. I am fitting my art time in before work and on weekends, so my kitchen studio has been a fantastic asset.

I miss my public-facing studio at Artspace because it was a great way to meet people and share my work with them. In 2026, I plan to make a stronger effort to get out, and be in the art community, so keep in touch to find out what I am working on and where to see me.

There are many things I accomplished this year that I am very proud of:

  • I created a Dose of Inspiration email every single week.

  • I stretched my art by working in the studio and using new techniques, and subject matter.

  • I participated in group shows in the summer and holidays at my wonderful gallery, City Art.

  • I created pieces (including adorable cardinal ornaments) for the the North Carolina Museum Store.

I am looking forward to a lot in 2026:

  • I am finishing five new paintings for my fantastic gallery, Camellia Art to be delivered shortly.

  • I am working on a commission of two paintings for a collector.

  • I am creating a new body of work, so stay tuned to see more.

  • I plan to be out in the world more; online, in Raleigh, Apex and beyond.

  • I am planning a group show with three of my art friends in the next year…. again, stay in touch to learn more.

  • I will be reinstating my monthly newsletter to keep in touch with you!!

Thank you for following my work, and keeping in touch with me. I value every single collector and follower and I hope my work and emails give you joy!

Have a fantastic 2026!!
Andie
